The week in Opulence Label (sp)

top: Viola Tube Top via Opulence Label

My wardrobe is full of white and black pieces, mostly of minimal cutting which I've accumulated over the years. I think I have mentioned somewhere on this blog that to me, the best way to start building a wardrobe is by purchasing the basics first. A loud statement piece may elevate your outfit and make heads turn, but how often can you re-wear that same attention-grabbing piece before feeling like there's nothing else interesting in your wardrobe? I feel that understated clothing always adds sophistication to the wearer, and are very easy to pair with everything else. I always love to accessorise a plain tee with statement jewelry!

This week, I've picked two white pieces from Opulence Label and here, I'm sharing how I've paired them.
Opulence Label is an up-and-coming label featuring affordable quality clothing that are classy and versatile. I always appreciate local labels producing promising apparels without jacking up the price/compromising on quality.

Neutral palette accessorised boldly with statement earrings and sunglasses;
The eyelet detail and geometric earrings show how you can add some edge to this feminine piece.

I like how the Viola Tube Top has a slit at the front... so dreamy when the wind comes along. The rounded neckline also makes it a super easy piece to layer with; many of my friends thought that it blended in with the dress really well!

dress: Raven Pleat Dress via Opulence Label

My second piece from Opulence Label is a white pleated camisole dress... the ultimate summer must-have! I've been hunting for the perfect pleated swing dress, something I can throw-on-and-go and still look put together on fuss-free days, so I am so glad to finally own a piece that is just like that!

I am really a fan of flowy/billowy dresses, but I love how the Raven has a more fitted bust area with the overlap band at the top. It's the kind of dress we all need when we're gonna have a huge meal... 👻

But if you would like a more snug fit at the waist, this dress comes with a waist sash too!

White pleats and earthy tones... this dress also comes in the form of a top!

Tropical vibin'

I'm really impressed with the quality and fit of both pieces. The price point is a lot lower than many local labels, yet the materials used to construct them are on par with the rest. The apparels offered by Opulence Label are very appropriate for Singapore's warm weather, but I can also see many ways to layer them on cooler days (like I did with Viola!).

As someone who looks to online retailers to resolve my wardrobe woes (because it's that much easier to search for something online than offline) I think that Opulence Label is definitely a store to keep tab on if you're looking for functional, effortless pieces that are work-appropriate, or if you need elegant, never over-the-top dresses/jumpsuits for a date night or special occasions!
